Ê Remove the slot cover from slot 7 as described in the section "Installing an

expansion card" on page 45.

Ê Insert the slot cover with the serial connector in slot 7 (1) as described in the

section "Installing an expansion card" on page 46.

Ê Connect the free end of the cable to the connector Serial 2 (2) on the system

board.

Ê Reinstall the system fan as described in the section "Installing the system

fan" on page 79.

Ê Close the server, connect it to the power outlet, and switch it on as described

in the chapter "Completion" on page 79.
